Heading into the 2017 season, the Harrisburg City Islanders had some question marks at the goalkeeper position for the first time in half a decade. Club legend Nick Noble was still on the roster, but he had spent the 2016 season splitting time with Keasel Broome. With Keasel departing to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the offseason, it was unclear who was going to be spending time between the posts on City Island in 2017.
This question was answered in March when the Harrisburg front office announced the signing of 2015 USL Goalkeeper of the Year Brandon Miller.
