Harcum’s perfect season came to an end on Wednesday night with a lopsided 4-0 loss to Salt Lake in the NJCAA Division I semifinal in Wichita, Kansas.
Salt Lake (15-1-1) opened the scoring two minutes into the game on a goal from Samuel Owusu and then doubled their advantage in the 31st minute when Paul Richnow got behind the Harcum back line on a free kick and headed a ball past Cheik Diouf.
The fifth-seeded Bears (13-1-0) had a couple chances to get back into the game before halftime. Daniel Robelledo had a free kick hit woodwork and Joe Peters had a shot in front of goal stopped by Christian Olivares.
