Philadelphia Union recognized Gaudenzia as the Charity of the Match in the Union's 3-0 win against New York Red Bulls Saturday evening.
Gaudenzia is a non-profit which helps those with alcohol or drug dependencies achieve a better quality of life and become accountable individuals, while also providing services for those with mental illness. Gaudenzia operates more than 150 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
Gaudenzia aims to help those who suffer from mental illness and substance abuse through programs such as residential services, outpatient services, adolescent services, mental health residential services, prison services and transitional and permanent housing services.
