Ray Gaddis has had his fair share of battles in his MLS career.
When Gaddis first joined the Union, he played significant minutes on the backline, especially in 2014, when he played every game and set a career high in minutes and assists. But since that 2014 season, he's had to fight for his spot. He's worked hard in every practice, shown patience, mentored younger players and stayed positive, and is now being rewarded with playing time.
Gaddis' hard working and positive mentality is something he was taught from his father and great uncle.
"Those two relatives are very close to me," Gaddis said.
