Veteran MLS midfielder Fred has found a new opportunity to build upon his already gigantic career today, signing as a player coach for Bethlehem Steel. The native of Belo Horizonte has played for Melbourne Victory, Wellington Phoenix, D.C. United and of course the Philadelphia Union in his 19 year career.
Recapping his time in MLS over seven seasons will probably cause some heads to spin. Fred played 131 games with 92 starts, racking up just north of 8,000 minutes.
