Former Philadelphia Union midfielder Michael Farfan announced his retirement from Major League Soccer on Feb. 24 via Facebook.
Farfan spent three seasons in Philadelphia, including the 2011 campaign where the Union reached the postseason for the first time in club history.
In his three years in Philadelphia, Farfan appeared in 82 matches while starting in 66 matches. All four of his MLS career goals came with Philadelphia and nine of his 10 assists were with the Boys in Blue.
Farfan ranks ninth in three all-time Union categories including games started, games played and minutes played.
