Five players, all recruited to the Philadelphia Union Academy from outside the area, are among the 35 players called up to attend a United States U-17 training camp kicking off next week in Chula Vista, California.
Diego Rocio, who recently attended a Mexico U16 training camp and is a starting forward for the Union U15s this season, is the lone 2007-born player on the roster for head coach Gonzalo Segares.
The other 34 players on the roster were all born in 2006. The camp kicks off the 2022-23 cycle, which culminates with the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.
