While Ilsinho off the bench has been the story of the Philadelphia Union’s second half success, it was Fafa Picault stepping up late on Wednesday night to help the team salvage a point.
He did it with a burst of speed to beat his man into the box before crossing it in front of goal and getting a favorable deflection off Andrew Farrell that Kacper Przybylko was then able to finish off in the 84th minute.
“I hate the bench, honestly, but my job is to come on when I have minutes and show what I’m capable of doing, like all the defenders around the league know it; it’s not a secret,” Picault said after the match in Foxborough.
