Philadelphia Union midfielder Marcus Epps had a homecoming last night when he took on his alma mater, the University of South Florida in the team’s second preseason scrimmage.
Epps, who played against his old squad, focused on what he had to do on the pitch in order to give the Union a win.
“It was weird, it was a nostalgic game, being able to play and focus on what I have to do as well as watching the style of play that I played for the last four years,” Epps said.
Epps was able to put one in the back of the net against his former team in the 67th minute of play, a feeling that was bittersweet.
