Union fans voted Derrick Jones as the IBX Live Fearless Player of the Month for March.
Jones burst onto the scene for the Union, scoring a goal in his first preseason match with the Union against Tampa Bay. In preseason as a whole, he started two games and appeared in all three matches.
In the Union's season opener against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Jones was named to the starting XI. In doing so, he became the first Union player to start an Academy game, a Bethlehem Steel FC game, and Union game.
Since his promotion to the first-team, Jones has played in all three games for the Union.
