The David Accam era in Philadelphia has come to an end.
The 28-year-old attacker has been traded to the Columbus Crew in exchange for $400,000 in general allocation money, $100,000 of targeted allocation money and an international roster spot.
“This is a decision that we believe is best for the future of the Philadelphia Union in terms of our roster planning in both the short- and mid-term, as well as for David,” said Ernst Tanner, Union Sporting Director, in a news release. “We receive valuable roster flexibility in this deal, both with the international roster spot as well as the allocation money for future transactions.
