Conor Casey named interim manager of Colorado Rapids

Conor Casey will join the ranks of former Philadelphia Union players to become head coaches, for the time being at least, after being named the interim head coach of the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday.

Casey rejoined the Rapids, where he won the 2010 MLS Cup, as assistant in January 2017. Anthony Hudson, the eighth Rapids head coach in franchise history, was fired after going 8-26-9 in MLS play since taking over the job in November 2017.

The New Hampshire native came to the Union via the MLS Re-Entry Draft in 2012 and had a successful three-season stint with 21 goals and 8 assists in 70 appearances.
