With seven players away on international duty and an eighth regular serving a one-game yellow card accumulation suspension, the Philadelphia Union will be fielding somewhat of a makeshift lineup when they host the New England Revolution on Friday night.
Andre Blake, Cory Burke and Alvas Powell are with Jamaica, Daniel Gazdag with Hungary, Jose Martinez with Venezuela, Jamiro Monteiro with Cape Verde and Olivier Mbaizo with Cameroon. Jack Elliott will miss his first game of the season with the yellow card suspension.
Of the 21 players left on the roster (Jack de Vries and Matej Oravec are both out on loan, Jesus Bueno has not yet arrived), five have not played a single minute this season, including recent loan signing Davo, Cole Turner, Greg Ranjitsingh, Brandan Craig and Nathan Harriel.
