Chris Pontius showed up in a big way against Chicago Fire, scoring two goals in the Union's 3-1 victory.
Pontius's first goal came in the 10th minute of the match, when Keegan Rosenberry sent a cross into the box. Pontius made a play on the ball with a diving header, redirecting the pass behind Fire keeper Matt Lampson to give the Union a 1-0 lead. His first goal was also his first of the season.
Later in the match, Pontius found the back of the net for his second multi-goal game in a Union kit and seventh of his career.
