Chris Albright nominated for US Soccer Hall of Fame

In his first year of eligibility, Technical Director Chris Albright has been announced as a nominee for the National Soccer Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

Born in Philadelphia, Albright broke into MLS in 1999 when he signed with DC United, where he played for three seasons. He was traded to LA Galaxy, where he shifted from a forward to midfielder to a right back.

The switch to right back revitalized his career, where he quickly became one of the best defenders in the league. He was named to MLS Best XI in 2005, and helped bring LA Galaxy two MLS Cups and a US Open Cup.
