On Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium, Union defender Fabinho cemented his name among the Union’s all-time most significant players with his 100th appearance, becoming the seventh all-time member in Philadelphia’s century club.
The shortlist of people that Fabinho joins in that club reads like a who’s who of Union history. The list includes two current teammates: Brian Carroll (165 appearances) and Raymon Gaddis (125). It also includes all-time club leading goal-scorer Sebastien Le Toux (175 appearances), Sheanon Williams (141), Amobi Okugo (117) and Zac MacMath (103).
All of these players took different paths to joining the Union’s century club, and all inextricably left their mark on the club over its eight seasons of existence.
