As Brenden Aaronson sat inside the press conference room inside Subaru Park on October 16th, his intent to finish his time with Philadelphia Union was clear. Bringing a trophy to his hometown club was the ultimate goal.
“We’re looking to win two trophies this year and we’re in the running for two so we will do whatever we can to win them,” Aaronson said. He’s now officially delivered on the first half of his goal as the club won the 2020 Supporters’ Shield with a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution six days ago.
The kid that grew up watching Union games before joining the academy now has his eyes set on ending this stage of his career with trophy.
