After Los Angeles FC put four past Philadelphia Union, the blue and gold have to focus on positives and address the negatives of a rough night on the west coast.
Mistakes in back undermine strong start
As has occurred often this season, the Union had a big chance to go ahead but could not finish. Alejandro Bedoya sent CJ Sapong in alone in the 10th minute, but the striker could not get a shot off as Tyler Miller flew at his feet. After that good look, the Union hung tough until Auston Trusty’s mistake created a chance for Adama Diomande, and the former Hull City striker tucked it away with a confident far post finish.
