LAFC star Carlos Vela voted 2019 MLS MVP
Vela, 30, improved on a 2018 MLS Best XI season in a number of ways. Scoring 34 goals in regular season play, breaking the MLS single-season record of 31 set in 2018 by Josef Martinez, Vela also finished third in the league with 15 assists. His combined 49 goals+assists shattered another record for a player in MLS in a season.
