Brenden Aaronson showed up to his high school graduation after training on Friday and on Saturday joined his classmates before the New York Red Bulls wearing his warmup uniform and a graduation cap.
Aaronson was joined by Bethlehem Steel FC defender Ben Ofeimu and 23 other graduates. The 18-year-old from Medford, N.J. made his 13th start and 15th appearance for the first team in the game.
He plans to pursue an online degree through Southern New Hampshire University, which has a partnership with the league.
