After using their platforms on the pitch to bring awareness for equality, the final figures are in for the three Bethlehem Steel FC athletes that participated in June’s Playing for Pride benefitting Athlete Ally.
Team captain James Chambers, who aided in the initiative last year, was joined by Steel FC rookies Ben Ofeimu and Zach Zandi for the 2019 and the combined effort saw the trio combine for $125 in donations to Athlete Ally. Chambers and Zandi led the way with impressive June plays, each hitting the $45 mark while Ofeimu racked up $35.
3 goals x $10 = $30
3 apps x $5 = $15
Total donation for @playingforpride = $45
Always an enjoyable month @BSteelFC
