Bethlehem Steel FC have signed Lehigh University forward Jamie Luchini, the club announced Wednesday.
“We are very happy to be adding a player who recently represented Lehigh University and proved dangerous in front of goal during his college career,” Bethlehem Steel FC head coach Brendan Burke said. “Our hope is that his form will translate to the professional level and he will add to the depth of our attacking core right away."
Luchini, 21, spent four seasons with the Mountain Hawks where he was the team’s leading goalscorer in both 2013 and 2014. Luchini scored a total of 18 goals during his university career and helped lead the team to the Patriot League Championship in 2015 where they defeated American University 2-1 in the final.
