There have been some pretty spectacular goals out of the Union this season – so much so that two members of the team have been nominated for Goal of the Year, and they need your help to win.
First up is Tranquillo Barnetta’s stunning free kick against D.C. United back on August 6th. Late in the first half, Barnetta stepped up to service a free kick set up way outside the 18 and took matters into his own hands (or feet) as he sent his kick through the defenders, with just the right amount of dip to get past Bill Hamid in the lower left corner.
