Philadelphia Union earned a road point this past weekend against New York Red Bulls in Harrison, New Jersey. The match finished in a nil-nil draw and the play of Andre Blake has earned him the club’s Man of the Match honor voted by the fans.
Blake’s four-save performance was crucial in the club’s ability to shut out their Eastern Conference rival. With the clean-sheet, Blake lowered his all-time MLS regular season goals-against average to 1.63 against New York Red Bulls.
The Jamaican international was tested all evening long by the Red Bull attack. In the first half, Blake made a spectacular highlight-reel save to deny an early goal.
