Jamaica made the most of its historical moment inside National Stadium as it began its 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup run with a 3-2 victory over Honduras in the Jamaican capital.
Captained by Union goalkeeper Andre Blake, the Reggae Boyz claimed three points as the country become the first Carribean country to host a match in the tournament. The home fans needed little time to burst into celebration as Dever Orgill scored his first of two goals in the 15th minute and completed the brace just before halftime.
Jamaica returns to Gold Cup action on Friday night against El Salvador, who are coming off a 1-0 win over Curacao in Group C action.
