With a 1-0 win over Suriname on Sunday evening, the Jamaican national team officially qualified for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament scheduled to take place this July.
Early on in the match, the Reggae Boyz went down a man when Damion Lowe was sent off with a red card. But thanks to big-time performances from Union and Bethlehem Steel talent, Jamaica was able to secure hree points and finish at the top of their group.
Union goalkeeper, and Jamaican team captain, Andre Blake showed off his great reflexes as he kept a clean sheet for his home nation, while Steel FC forward Cory Burke scored the lone goal of the night in the 11th minute.
