Philadelphia Union were extremely busy during the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. The club was able to obtain the first six picks in the draft. Josh Yaro was selected No. 2 overall, moments later Yaro’s Georgetown teammate Keegan Rosenberry was picked No. 3. Fabian Herbers a striker from Creighton was the third and final pick in the first round for the Union at No. 6
In Columbus the trio started together for the second time this season. The first time they appeared on the field together as starters was against Vancouver, but in Columbus the rookies dominated the match. Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin praised his rookies for how they performed on the road in a match late in the season.
