Philadelphia Union captain Alejandro Bedoya remains questionable for Saturday’s MLS Cup final but the veteran midfielder expressed some optimism in a press conference with media on Thursday.
“My leg is still recovering, I’m training to the side still, but I’m gonna do everything I can to get on that field,” Bedoya said. “It’s still a work in progress, but I remain optimistic I’ll be able to play a part in the game.”
The 35-year-old started in Sunday’s Eastern Conference final against NYCFC but was unable to make it past halftime after appearing to re-aggravate the injury that had kept him out of the conference semifinal against Cincinnati.
