Josh Yaro's 2017 sophomore season featured a lot of peaks and valleys during the course of the eight months. He saw playing time with both the Union and Bethlehem Steel FC after battling back from an injury which sidelined him for months to start the season. But even with a trying season, Yaro still managed to put himself in a position for a positive season in 2018.
Yaro's 2017 season started with a setback, as the Union announced he would be out for three to four months when he underwent shoulder surgery. He suffered a torn labrum during the team's preseason and needed surgery to repair the issue.
