Wounded cop proposes to girlfriend after tossing first pitch for Phillies

The Philadelphia police officer who was shot three times while sitting in his cruiser earlier this year was given the honor of throwing out the first pitch Monday at the Philadelphia Phillies home opener, then made the moment even more special by proposing to his girlfriend.

Jesse Hartnett, 34, with his left arm still in a sling, tossed the ceremonial pitch at Citizens Bank Park with his right arm. He then dropped to one knee and pulled a ring out of his sling and presented it to his girlfriend, who accepted.
