The Breakout Series game between the Phillies and Pirates was a success for the team on the field, but there were also some players that opened eyes as well. For the Pirates, Bubba Chandler had his way with the Phillies lineup for his two innings, but once he was out, the lineup started playing well.
Justin Crawford continued to show that he’s a viable option for the team, maybe as soon as 2026. Maybe some of the prospect people are wrong about him? My new prospect crush, Carson DeMartini, homered again this spring. Multiple relief pitchers threw good innings (though one notable one was terrible).
