White Sox acquire former Phillie César Hernández in trade

Former Phillie César Hernández has been traded from Cleveland to the Chicago White Sox, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.

The 31-year-old second baseman has been pretty good for Cleveland this season, slashing .231/.307/.431 with 18 home runs and 47 RBIs. His previous career high in home runs was 15 back in 2018. Cleveland will receive Double-A left hander Konnor Pilkington from the White Sox in exchange for Hernández, per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

César Hernández is now a member of the Chicago White Sox.
