We’ll have to take the good with the bad with Edmundo Sosa in the outfield

Let’s give a little credit to Rob Thomson here. Knowing that with Weston Wilson on the injured list. he knows that he needs someone who is a right handed hitter and can play the outfield in the lineup for matchups against tough left handed pitchers like Chris Sale last night. He could have stuck with the dedicated plan of letting Brandon Marsh play against left handed pitchers on a regular basis, but this was a chance to get the platoon advantage.

He put Edmundo Sosa in left field.

Now, coming into Tuesday’s game, Sosa had played a total of three innings in the outfield in a non-spring training setting.
