It’s no secret that this season has been tough for Bryson Stott. His numbers closely reflect his rookie season. He’s even carrying the same low slugging percentage (.358) he did in 2022, which could bring some long-term concern.
There are issues with his offensive role, and the Phillies should consider some slight changes. Nothing earth-shattering, but maybe it’s time to consider more flexible answers.
The Problems
Stott recently had a stretch of hitting seventh or eighth with Brandon Marsh hitting higher. The Phillies changed course after the Atlanta series because Marsh was in the middle of a major slump.
