Here is another entry in our series looking at trade targets for the Phillies, both those rumored by those in the know and others we’re interested in.
In an oft-quoted speech, President and noted outdoorsman Teddy Roosevelt compared the image of a man of action, the man “actually in the arena”, to observers on the sidelines, noting “it is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better”. Pointing these things out, however, sounds an awful lot like the job a baseball front office has at the trade deadline.
