Drafted in the second round of the 2015 MLB draft, Kingery became one of the top prospects in baseball. In 2017, splitting time between AA and AAA, the infielder brought a combination of power and speed, hitting a 26 home runs and stealing 29 bases.
Prior to the 2018 season, it looked like service time considerations might force Kingery to begin to year in the minors, but general manager Matt Klentak avoided that problem by signing him to a six-year contract.
