Hey, you can’t blame us for picking on a guy.
Nick Castellanos has borne the brunt of the dissatisfaction that came with the Phillies offense to begin the season. It was more than justified. From March 29 to April 29, Castellanos hit a feeble .172/.242/.218 with only two extra base hits, ten walks and 27 strikeouts. It was ugly to watch, painful even, and saw Castellanos on the receiving end of the criticism from just about everyone.
Once April 30 started, though, Castellanos has actually been....good?
In that time period, Castellanos has been quite productive for the team, vaulting his OPS all the way up to.
