Sometimes, it just doesn’t work out between team and player.
However, the fact the team was able to pilfer the Orioles like they did in the deal, obtaining Seth Johnson (more on him later) and Moises Chace, your fifth best prospect in the team’s system, has the potential to go down as one of the Dave Dombrowski’s better deals.
The key word there is potential.
Chace is a great prospect. According to all the recent reports on him, his fastball and slider are already at a point where he can go straight into the bullpen in Philadelphia, but the development of a changeup, or whatever third pitch they ultimately decide on, will make the difference in what his future role is.
