We’ve entered the “hurt guys” territory of our list. Never a bad thing to roll the dice on someone who had major surgery, particularly pitchers who are on the mend from Tommy John surgery. McFarlane looked like he was on the track to making it to the majors soon before going under the knife and that still may be true. From some reports, once he returns and gets his command back under his control, he might take the Orion Kerkering express train and get to the majors soon. That might feel a little too much, but for a team that hasn’t really developed relief pitching prospects, that wouldn’t be a bad outcome for the team.
