Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber made their returns to the Phillies lineup, but the bottom of the order and Trea Turner stole the show in a 10-1 win over the Dodgers. Turner blasted his sixth career grand slam and first since 2021 in the fourth and the 7-8-9 hitters went a combined 7-9 with 7 runs scored and 3 extra-base hits. Zack Wheeler pitched five strong innings before leaving after 76 pitches with lower back tightness.
Welcome back
It was an eventful first inning for the Phillies returning sluggers, as Schwarber hit a 98 MPH lineout on the first pitch of the game and Harper attempted to leg out a single on a ball that deflected off Freddie Freeman.
