With yesterday’s loss, the Phillies ended what was probably their most disappointing season in some time with an 81-81 record. It’s the most vanilla of all records. It’s the Baby Bear from the Three Bears of records - not too hot, not too cold, juuuuuust right. With all the transactions that preceded the season and the 4-0 start the team got off to, it felt like the rebuild had ended. The real fun was about to begin. Even as far as June 11th, this team was in first place! FIRST PLACE! And they felt real.
