Take me home: Orioles 8, Phillies 3

The Phillies ended their long trip through London, Boston, and Baltimore with an 8-3 defeat at the hands of the Orioles. Zack Wheeler allowed 8 runs and a career-high 4 home runs and lasted just 4.2 innings while the Phillies offense went 2-14 with runners in scoring position against Corbin Burnes and the Baltimore bullpen. Philadelphia is now 2-4 in the six games back stateside after the London series.

Wheeler wasn’t right all day, and it was evident from the first batter he faced. After a 2-2 pitch that was in the zone but was called a ball, Wheeler allowed a lead-off home run to Gunnar Henderson four pitches later.
