Spring Training game 3: Phillies 5, Rays 4

Rejoice: for the first time in 139 days, the Philadelphia Phillies won a baseball game!

In the first look at the 2025 version of a member of their vaunted rotation, they held on to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in Swing-and-Misstopher Sanchez’s re-launch.

The Starters

We’ll designate them more as “roster locks” than “starters” but Johan Rojas, Brandon Marsh and Edmundo Sosa were the only regulars in the lineup today.

They went 0-3 to begin the game against Rays; starter, Taj Bradley, but put together a nice little sequence in the third inning that led to the game’s first runs off a two-RBI single by Sosa.
