Spencer Turnbull, one of the main characters in the Phillies’ hot start to the season last year, is still a free agent. He is throwing for interested teams, according to a report from Jon Heyman of the New York Post. The Scott Boras client is looking to sign a major league deal.

Turnbull, 32, pitched to a 2.65 ERA in 17 games with the Phillies in 2024. He opened the year in the rotation as Taijuan Walker’s replacement. In five starts, Turnbull had a 1.67 ERA. He moved to the bullpen in early May when Walker was ready to begin his season.
