PHILADELPHIA -- Gabe Kapler is expected to be the next Phillies manager.
Sources said Sunday night that the Phillies could announce as early as Monday that they have hired Kapler to replace Pete Mackanin. The club has not confirmed the news.
MLB Network's Jon Heyman first reported the hiring of Kapler, the Dodgers' director of player development.
