Source: Phils, Astros complete Giles deal

One source said the Phillies would receive 23-year-old right-hander Vincent Velasquez, who MLBPipeline.com ranked the 69th-best prospect in baseball in July and the fourth-best prospect in Houston's talented farm system. CSNPhilly.com reported they also could receive 26-year-old left-hander Brett Oberholtzer, plus one more pitcher.

"We continue to have talks with agents and teams and are trying to work through a few things," Phillies general manager Matt Klentak said. "But nothing to announce at present."

The Phillies postponed Klentak's media availability 90 minutes prior to his appearance Wednesday, a sure sign that talks had heated up.
