[Screams Internally]

On Friday night in San Francisco against the Giants, in the midst of an embarrassing 15-2 loss, reliever Justin De Fratus threw another two innings and amassed 54 pitches. He allowed a pair of runs on four hits and a walk with one strikeout. Regular readers of this site are familiar with this trope, as it’s been my pet cause of the season.

De Fratus now has a 110-pitch lead over the reliever who has thrown the second-most pitches this season, Anthony Bass, by an 893 to 783 margin.
