It’s been a quiet couple of weeks fro Gabe Kapler since his first ejection. The maligned Phillies skipper has stayed in the background of most of the team issues, and for a team that simply needs to play up to its own abilities, there’s not always something to blame him for. Though there is no shortage of parties willing to find one. Nevertheless, Kapler’s got a manager approval rating of 76%, up from the paltry 36% of our last survey.
Fan confidence is also back up from the measly 9% posted a week ago. Since then, the Phillies have gone 3-3 against the Braves and Mets, showing us that they still don’t know how to beat the Braves, they still do know how to beat the Mets, and as always, what that means moving forward is nothing new; just that this team has to see the same flaws in itself that everyone else does.
