MIAMI -- Gabe Kapler's lineups have been a focus of frustration and fascination for many Phillies fans lately.
It continued Tuesday at Marlins Park, where Kapler hit Carlos Santana leadoff for the second time in four games. But Santana sparked a four-run rally in the first inning when he crushed a 2-1 fastball from Marlins right-hander Trevor Richards into the second deck in right field for a home run. The ball left his bat at 105.8 mph and traveled a projected 400 feet, according to Statcast™.
It was Santana's 21st homer of the season and the seventh leadoff homer of his career.
