Cole Hamels enjoyed his decade with the Philadelphia Phillies -- so much so that he would not rule out a return.
Hamels, currently on the disabled list of the Texas Rangers, met with the Philadelphia media Tuesday prior to the Rangers' game with the Phillies and was asked about a hypothetical reunion.
"I never leave the door closed," Hamels told reporters, including Matt Gelb of Philly.com. "It's a special place and will continue to be a special place. There's always those opportunities."
The now 33-year-old Hamels was a key member of a Phillies franchise that won five straight NL East titles, including a World Series in 2008.
